I Am a Monster

This person I'm chatting with is pouring their heart and soul to me. Talking how they want to be the best for me, love me unconditionally, give me everything. All I can do is paint pretty words back that have no meaning or substance behind them.

I'm leading this poor soul on. Having them think that we are going to have such a bright loving future when, in reality, I feel nothing for them. I won't say that because I enjoy having someone to talk to for now. When I get bored I'll just stop answering. That's how it usually goes. Selfish and monstrous.

Just because you feel your life is screwed, that's no reason to take advantage of others..or maybe it's all a fabrication because any attention even negative is better than none...

@Primnproper Maybe it is, no one here will ever know. I could swear with all my heart that what I'm typing is true but in the end there is nothing you have to corroborate my story. Am I lying for attention. Am I telling the truth and am an asshole.

Am I looking to inflict just one bleeding ounce of misery in someone's life so that I can make someone, ANYONE, feel how it's like to be me in any given moment in any given day.

Who knows. Who cares. It's all just words on a screen.
