I Wonder What People Really See

Especially those who hate someone for no reason, although there is a reason for somethings. Someone who hasn't done anything to them. Do they see something in that person that no one else sees that ticks them off?
SoFine · 46-50, F
Most people are so absorbed in their own drama to even see you. So don't waste your time to wonder on this.

AND.... if people are upset, the reason for the upset is not the reason they are upset. Most upsets relate to an old issue, that gets triggered over and over.

We are all mirrors of each other, some will trigger a response in you, they then have hit a corresponding note.

Never assume how you think they are thinking .....

Be at home in you, be your own best friend. When you are at home in you, then your life anchor is set. People then won't be able to topple you over, as you are your stable table.

Your two tools of self-love and self-worth are their to validate and complete you. Work on them, they are your job for you to do ....

Quote for you:
No one is free who has not obtained the empire of himself. No man is free who cannot command himself.”

@SoFine Exactly right! Well said!

I heard an anthropologist talk about how humans perceive one another.

Generally speaking, we tend to see those who are familiar to us as "the same" while those who are unfamiliar as "different"

When I was a child, I remember not fully realizing that my grandparents had an Irish brogue. That's just how they talked. But when my grandmother's nephew was around, I could barely understand him.

That's what happens to people.

We "hate" based on people we haven't met, based on unvalidated beliefs about a stranger.

We are unable to truly see each other until we get to know each other.

@JoeyFoxx That is a good reason to get into pen-palling with people very different from us. SW is a great way to get introduced.

@Platoscave Excellent point.. though some folks use this platform to accentuate the wedge. It's an unfortunate pattern.
Platoscave · F
@JoeyFoxx Ignorant people do that cause I guess that is what they have learned somehow.

My best friend of all time lives halfway across the world in a third world country and he and I have moved through a big hunk of our lives together...

@FelixLegion I'm a lady but I think I'm like you.

Usually when this happens, it's because they are seeing (or projecting and seeing) something about their own self that they hate in the other person.
OlderDude · 61-69, M
Hate, usually stems from fear or ignorance of something. That which is not understood, such as others traditions, way of dress, ideas, etc. Or from being told that others that are different will take over and push their life style out of reach. So hate is the outward manifestation of fear of being made non existant.
Education, tolerance, respect, and an open heart is the remedy. We are all in this world together, let's make room for us all in each others life.
Platoscave · F
@OlderDude I think hate comes from fear that I might not be as powerful as the other person.
i think it has more to do with the self-loathing they have in their own life

Usually it's a Sub-Conscious insecurity if they don't like feeling vulnerablr or weak and they see something in another that shows weakness the fact that the sub-conscious feeling was stimulated might make them angry not always the case. Insecurity breeds insults. You caring what people think will get exhausting Master loving yourself before going into that journey or they'll drown you, lol
trackman11 · 61-69, M
Lots of reasons I think; maybe personal history, jealousy, conflicting personalities, assuming what that person must be like based on surface actions. In my life experience people are almost always more complicated then I would have guessed, more vulnerable then they seem and more beautiful then I imagined.
It's said, we don't see the world as IT is, we see the world as WE are.

When people see something they don't like in someone, I think they're looking at that person through their own filters. Maybe they see something they don't like in themselves and turn away from who THEY are by turning away from that other person.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
Yes. When you are quiet people think you are (hiding) yourself.
When you are good, people feel threatened or think you that you have a high regard for life, and they do not.
Usually this comes from people who struggle with their own minds.
People who have a low vibrational pattern.
People who have narrow minds, and do not know how to adapt to begin with.
I can go on and on. But believe me dear, I can tell you a lot about human behavior and
why some do the things that they do. I hope that this has answwered your question here. 🙂
fear, they see something they fear
People are responsible for their own perceptions. Whatever anger they might be carrying around with them gets applied to something totally unrelated. It's their their own shit they're looking at that they're not willing to take responsibility for.

They call them liberals

I know I don't do anything to anyone at all don't even talk to anyone haven't any friends at all but is always hated bullied and called names .why? I guess because I'm an easy target for others to take their haterd out on . One day all will pay the price
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
See and SEE are 2 different things. I always wonder what people see when they look at me, it is a sort of fantasy about external body, then I wonder what they SEE in me, my accomplishments, intelligence, ethics, etc.
Chrissquish · 22-25, M
I have bullied people before based on just how they look and I'm not really sure why. I'd probably still be doing it if it wasn't for their retaliation to be honest.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
I have often wondered what people see when they look at me, internally as well as externally. We see ourselves only through our personal biases.
Daintybeast · 51-55, M
I guess some people just go about with a chip on their shoulders, sad loosers with nothing to contribute to society

If it's not rational or caused in any real way... then you can't rationalize it.

@acpguy Sigh.. Emotions, not factual information. That’s all I get from Trump supporters like you.
acpguy · C
@SW-User You snowflake I am afraid stating the plight of liberals and democrats. You miss truth and by being brainwashed by the news media never will have the facts and will refuse to accept the truth.

You also like a typical liberal deflected and did not answer one question I asked. But that is what you ill educated creatures do.
SW-User
@acpguy See? There you go again. Using emotion instead of facts.
