How's everybody handling the covid situation?

Ok. The entire state of Victoria here in Australia is about to be forced to wear masks in public now.

My state (NSW) keeps getting new outbreaks. Lockdowns will be returning...

Crazy here.
Different bus companies with different rules about mask wearing. Glove wearing. Paying by debit card only. Sitting in designated seats only.... and that's just busses!
Try going into the city !

Government buildings with one set of guidelines. Public buildings with another.
Libraries opened up a couple of weeks ago and you have a full Vot iz ze purpose of your vizit ? interview before they consider letting you in through the door !

Everywhere wants your custom yet they all insist on you using their hand sanitizer which by the end of the day can really leave your hands itching like crazy.

Home deliveries from supermarkets are crazy again.
Order today - delivery at some point a week on Monday!

That brings out The Panic Shopper and so these folk are buying in bulk again and, yet again, the supermarkets are refusing to limit supplies to a set number and are rubbing their hands with glee at the thought of yet more profit above and beyond anything they would normally take.

And Boris 'the bold' is on tv each nigh (again) panicking a nation(again) informing us of the dreaded Second wave !! That will surely kill all those not voting Conservative in next year's local elections !!

.....but other than THAT.....

I'm still being cautious. A lot of people seem to be out and about in the UK without face-coverings, or apparently any concern for social distancing. This surprises me. Since lockdown's been eased somewhat, the average number of new cases per day has gone up by about 150 (20%), average number of daily deaths was decreasing but seems to have settled at about 65 now; I fear it's going to start going up. Even our (idiot, in my opinion) PM, Johnson, has started talking about a second wave possibly starting in about a fortnight. Schools were supposed to reopen for all in September, not sure how that's looking now. Very sad situation, still.

It's interesting that people 'blame' relaxed lockdowns and general complacency for the 'resurgence'. How do we know it's not the virus mutating naturally and changing so it transfers in other ways to what we're being 'officially' told. Remember there's a whole subset that believe Covid is divine intervention to kill off the 'non believers' (ie. people who don't subscribe to the Cult of Christianity).

Working from home has been a blessing to be honest 馃槀

If you go to a food place where sit-down dining is offered you have to provide your contact details before being allowed to partake of the business offerings. I refused to download contact tracing apps and refuse to enable the forcibly-installed Android contact tracer feature on my phone and tablet.

Can鈥檛 wait till it settles down enough that everything can reopen. Probably won鈥檛 be until next year.

As well as can be expected while trying to avoid risky crowded areas and public transport 馃檪
