Absolutely! Cleanliness is of major importance right now.
I wash my hands that's it
Nah! I wash my hands if I think about it.
Virus schmirus! Who cares.

Those of us who live in apartment buildings have to think about what is all over the insides and outsides of the washers and dryers in the laundry room.

I have set up a "door station" in my tiny apartment.

I have a coat hook that hangs over the door, so I can take off my jacket and hang it there.

I have a chair right next to the door, and a copper plate next to it on the floor and vinyl gloves on top of the nearby air purifier. I can step onto the copper plate FROM the doorway with my contaminated shoes, and sit down in the chair, and remove my shoes. (The virus dies on copper within 4 hours).

When I am safe to go out again, I will leave a paper bag next to the chair and put the clothing I wore outside in the bag. THEN I will be able to remove the vinyl gloves I wore outside, and throw them away. Paper doesn't retain virus as long as plastic.

For now, I am doing laundry inside my apartment, by hand. I have a very small washtub, and I have Lysol laundry sanitizer.

I do. I'm being careful.

I have been doing a modified hazmat routine since this first became an issue. Considering my wife's compromised immune system and lucky enough to live in a house where I can come in the garage, go straight to the laundry and strip, walk into the basement shower, wipe most of the things that I bring into the house with disinfectant wipes before bringing them into the main living area.

@Stereoguy A little more careful than usual this time of year but don鈥檛 want to take chances.

I always wash my hands, even before the pandemic. I鈥檓 between answers because I will change clothes, but don鈥檛 necessarily shower. I wash hands and then wash my face.

When I鈥檝e gone to the store lately, I have deliberately worn pants and a jacket that I can wash or steam, so that鈥檚 been jeans and a denim jacket lately. The jacket may come into contact with questionable surfaces, such as door handles, though I do keep a supply of small paper towels for such use, but I do try to only go places with automatic doors right now.

I will shower a couple of times per day usually, but that鈥檚 for seasonal allergy reasons.

@Stereoguy Thank you. I hope that you and your family are safe as well.
I think if it's living on your clothes and skin by that point you'd already have it. I wash my hands and do change out of clothes but that's what I normally do anyway.

We strip, and take our clothes to the laundry room to stand for a few hours before we re-handle them to wash them.. Take an immediate shower..
While out, we use my painters latex gloves and simple breathing masks, and after we get out of a store, we wipe our hands with clorox wipes...
Then when home we use clorox wipes inside the car and on the door handles..

I do!!!

I also keep a shelf by the door for our shoes- we immediately remove our outside shoes and place them on the shelf and slip on clean slippers to wear inside. I cannot stand wearing outside shoes inside the house, ESPECIALLY now with Covid-19.

I clean the items off I bought first. Then clean off my shoes then wash my hands. Then go over the door knobs and high traffic areas, etc. Wash hands again but like a surgeon. So far still alive.馃榿

No. I wash my hands. A bit of dirt also helps you to become immune to some things.
