Does liberal mean anything anymore?

@MasterLee You care so much for it that you will ignore everything that doesn't align with what you already believe. Even if what you believe is partly responsible for children dying in school shootings. For a president that has put us on the brink of nuclear war. For a party that has consistently discriminated against and violated the rights of its own citizens. A party that claims to love the constitution while banning Muslims who have freedom of religion. Do you care? You should try showing it sometime.

@MasterLee Deligetimizing media is a tool used by every dictator and you've fallen for it so quickly. If you don't trust media, try a history book. Try common sense. This is the reality. It's ugly and if things continue on this path, it gets worse. Open your eyes. Your blind allegiance hurts you as much as it does everyone else.

@emptysoul44 Uh...limited power to the central government is like a core value of liberalism. No, liberals don't believe in big government or welfare. They believe in the opposite. Liberalism believes the government should have very limited power, especially when it comes to people's personal lives. That's where the NAP came from. That's absolutely inseparable from liberalism.

@emptysoul44 So? Polygamy isn't wrong. After all, the majority of America is Christian, and polygamy is the law of marriage in the bible. Gambling isn't wrong either, although if you're a degenerate I guess that's another story.

They also helped in many of the amendments. My very favorite liberal was Barbara Jordan that stopped a pariah like Bork from making it into the Supreme Court.
