In my culture we treat Uncles and Aunts the same as we would our own parents and Cousins like they're brothers and sisters. And the elderly who aren't related by blood as Aunt and Uncle.
@Mrsbetweenfatandfit that and keeping child out of harms way or encouraging them to do something, like pull up grades, do chores, read books etc. This is not hurting a child..
