What is the nastiest thing your family makes for thanksgiving dinner?

This nasty green jello crap my uncle Frank makes
ScarletWitch · 26-30, F
Stuffing. I do NOT like it.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Starcrossed That sounds like a nightmare.
Trenchycoat · 70-79, M
@Starcrossed Okay that seems intriguing. I am not a big fan of stuffing but I would try that lol
E-Gad!!! That IS awful. 😂
Spokeskitties75 · 46-50, M
Does the jello have cream cheese and pineapple in it?
Neurotoxin · 31-35, M
@Spokeskitties75 pistachios and marshmallows on it I think there's cherries
Spokeskitties75 · 46-50, M
@Neurotoxin nasty
dumpstermeow · 41-45, F
All of it. I never have liked traditional thanksgiving food.
dumpstermeow · 41-45, F
@BlueMetalChick roast hedgehogs? Where can you even get those for cooking?
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@dumpstermeow Well it's technically illegal to eat them here in the USA, just like you can't legally buy dog meat or cat meat, but the Chinese store still sells them, along with a variety of other animals not usually consumed in America like meat from squirrels, chipmunks, hares, and possums. I usually avoid those though.
dumpstermeow · 41-45, F
@BlueMetalChick interesting
sighmeupforthat · 46-50, M
growing up it was... something hagmaul? haggis? then haggas or hogASS and hominy. meat pudding which was all 'floorkill stuff'? it was very finely ground and with a gluey, fatty white sauce that was hard like butter when room temperature.
then blood pudding, pigs brains fried and mustard sauce with it. this could go on, oh and headcheese loaf made from pig parts.

i had soo many stomach issues growing up.
Neurotoxin · 31-35, M
@sighmeupforthat holy shit that's nasty no offense
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
@sighmeupforthat
😦😧😨😩😫😖🤢
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
My extended family growing up ...self canned red hots apple sauce and the green jello marshmallows fluff with pinapple bits and some kind of crushed nut.

My MIL serves overcooked microwave steamed frozen veggie bags.
*despite me insisting on bringing sweet potatoes, corn casserole, and green bean casserole (they'd skip those otherwise????)
My mother opened cans of yams. Gross. Forget cans on Thanksgiving. It should all be made from scratch.
My mother n law roasted a bunch of vegetables and it tasted like garbage. She was English though.@Starcrossed
I cook it. My husband hates cornbread... I love it. So I will make it. He can have the rolls.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
There aren't really any gross things my family makes any more but back in the day my grandma used to try to make me eat this Hawaiian salad, it was like chunks of fruit suspended in some weird white colored gelatinous bullshit. It had sour cream and mayonnaise and something else in it and I refused to even stick it in my mouth.
celine211 · 22-25, F
We don't celebrate thanksgiving, Christmas family dinners have stopped i haven't seen some of my cousins in more then a year
I make Thanksgiving and my friend makes and brings green bean casserole. I do not like that at all.
LucyCan · 26-30, F
With shredded carrot and cabbage in it? Yeah, total grossness.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@LucyCan Raw carrots are delicious but never in anything gelatinous.
