I Love My Husband

Emergency room..... ICU..... blood transfusions.... anti-biotics.....

It's been a stress packed several days. My husband isn't home yet, hopefully tomorrow they will let him come home.

The plan has changed. The aggressive chemo is being tamed down. What was to take 6 - 8 months of treatment is now going to take up to 2 years.

It's heart-breaking. We both wanted this chapter to be in our past, NOT in our future. The battle moves on though.

My son started work here this week. It has been a blessing! He is doing such a great job I couldn't be any prouder!!! He lost both his grandmas and now because we work at a senior citizen place he will have a lot of new grandmas to watch over him! I officially introduced him to each resident yesterday as we went door to door to do our monthly pest control.

So, though I'm heartsick over what is going on w/ my husband I am also optimistic.

Some days I feel like Moses when he lost the strength to hold up his arms and the people had to help hold them up for him. Yes, sometimes I need a helping hand to remain in faith. Fear and doubt creep in a lot. Faith is what I use to fight it.... faith and support and kind words.

The main thing is to keep a positive outlook and always try to smile whenever the opportunity arises.
