I Love My Husband

Marriage is about going out on a limb for one another, just to please them. Most of you who know me know I used to weigh in the 350s and have lost more than 100lbs.

Still, I am not skinny nor perfect. One of the scariest things for me to do is wear a dress.

So, I bought this one and I'm going to wear it to the hospital to see my hubby. I hope it makes him smile.

Here are some pics of me... no making fun of me, and yes I know I have cankles! lol I'm just doing my best with what I have.

I also offer congratulations on losing weight. And I certainly hope nobody is making fun of you! I have not seen any posts that do.
I have been battling a weight problem for several years, and doctors have emphasized that I need to lose weight. Recently I lost about 10 pounds, obviously not enough, but at least a start. I just have to keep working on it, and practice healthier eating habits overall.

@OldSchool That's the way to do it. I always looked at my weight loss as if someone was chipping away at my fat like a sculpture chips away at a boulder to find the beauty inside. That thought kept me going even when others around me didn't notice the weight loss for quite a while. (Yeah, I've been so heavy that 10 - 20 lbs didn't really show much of a loss) It's a continual battle... and also a matter of acceptance. I know I'll never have a hard body or be what you would consider skinny... but that don't mean I cannot feel pretty.

Here is me at 309 pounds.... I'm happy because I used to be nearly 360lbs!

@realrare I like to think of it as "chipping away" to the "awesome physique" I had in my younger days. (mid 20's, best at 24) Actually calling myself awesome may be something of an exaggeration. I wasn't bad, though. Even when I turned 40 years old I got back into the same size pants I had worn in high school, junior in high school at that. I'll be 63 years old next month, so getting back to that is not very likely. Perhaps see just how close I can get?
