I Love My Husband

My husband publically told everyone at the Christmas party that he would only go on vacation if he divorced his wife. At home he is always threatening divorce if I spend money or if I don't clean up the house. My emotions are taxed and I'm scared and feel defeated.....And it's all because of my schizoaffective disorder, which is why I lay in bed all day for the last 20 years. I don't blame him but at the same time It would ruin me forever if we did get divorced because nobody would ever want me, sure I could catch feels with people but once they realize that I live in bed they'll run.. .

Wow! What a creep. I have a friend whose wife has all kinds of serious health issues and he’s there to help her all the time.

Mental illness sucks. Keep working with your doctor and therapist to manage your symptoms. Take small steps to do constructive activities; go to a support group. Volunteer... somehow, in some small way. Slowly build a life for yourself. You can do it!

Ignore his threats. Either he puts up or shuts up. What an arrogant small man that you live with. Who knows, if he carries out his threat you might be motivated enough to leave the bed and live in the fellowship of the church.

Really sorry to hear you're going through this :( It's absolutely unforgivable that he treats you that way. I think there are people out there that want you, that will treat you with kindness/respect. All the best.
