I Have Synesthesia

One of my greatest fears is reaching that time when my synesthesia starts to wear off. I don't know how I would live! What is life like without colors with every sound, sound with every movement, a rainbow in every book I read? I imagine it will be very boring. But, it'll be like how all the rest of you without synesthesia will see the world, huh?

Synesthesia is this phenomenon in the brain in which the wiring in the brain is figuratively "mixed" in a way. So when one sense is being used, another is activated at the same time. It's different for everybody. The most common and known type of synesthesia is Graphemes-Color, when the synesthete sees a letter and the color of that letter at the same time. Every synesthete has different colors for each of their letters, so someone's G could be green while another's could be blue. There are so many types and so many combinations and everybody's experience is different.
If you do some research on it you'll find it super interesting : D

Hm. I haven't paid attention to my synesthesia for awhile, now I'm 21 and I can hardly hear it.
