do you have any religious routines that you try to do everyday [Spirituality & Religion]

just curious is all

I keep a small replica of an Italian painting of God right near my computer. Whenever I see His name, while I am on my laptop, I look up at the painting and feel, again, the love I have always have for Him.

At night, when I am trying to go to sleep, there are times when I need to feel that feeling...of God and His holy spirit being close inside my heart. It takes a conscious effort to relax enough to try to reach that spirit, but it is usually right there.

I am afraid I only pray formally when someone has need of prayer.

@4meAndyou And the concept of "God's plan", "God has a plan for you", "God's will" actually makes no sense at all when you examine it with a completely open mind...it actually leaves us with no choices whatsoever and no hope for us ever having any say or control over our own lives (especially when you add the anger/punishment factor to it).
4meAndyou · F
@indyjoe I think that sounds right. We were supposed to have been given free choice.

@4meAndyou I do believe in free choice/will...it is only limited by the boundaries, limitations, and restrictions (both necessary and repressive) that we humans place upon ourselves and each other. I compare it to our gardening/landscaping...."God" grooms, tends to, and manipulates "his" creation somewhat when necessary, but only to help it along and mostly leaves it alone and doesn't interfere allowing it to survive and thrive as well as reach its own natural and best potential on it's own. God doesn't cause (or "allow") disasters and tragedies like a lot of people question and believe....but I do believe "he" will and does help us help ourselves through them and recover/move on from them.
Ritualistic routine is not expected by God. He is more interested in people doing things from their heart because they love Him. Not out of duty or because it is expected. God knows our motives.

@LadyGrace I pray every night but because I feel I have to, I just like to pray for people, but do hope you are right 🌺

I don't call it "religious" because I don't follow any religion and there is no real formality or ritual to it, but I do believe in and talk to "God" (whoever and whatever he, she, or it is) On a fairly regular and daily basis. It has always been a source of strength and comfort to me and has gotten me through many a rough time in my life.

James 1:27. There's nothing religious about it.
@GodSpeed63 Amen!!!! If only people realized that.
I have no religion but do my gratitude check daily.

Everyday I use God's name in vain and make sure I break first and second commandment.
