Does God expect 100% adherence to his rules? [Spirituality & Religion]

Is less than 100% "allowable" based on individual and social circumstances?
PhlipipUK · 70-79, MVIP
Which particular God are you talking about?
ChimerIX · 26-30, M
@PhlipipUK Oh, you want specifics? Then that's not a problem. Are you open to taking this to messages?
PhlipipUK · 70-79, MVIP
@ChimerIX I'm quite happy to talk publicly.
ChimerIX · 26-30, M
@PhlipipUK Okay, as I said before it's a personal relationship. If you want the specific sordid details of a person's life and their deeply intimate experiences, then it may be preferable meet them halfway.
Shaneishere · 31-35, M
Most of us want to please God but fail over and over. He looks at the heart and how hard we try but he still has guidelines we have to work towards.
PhlipipUK · 70-79, MVIP
@Shaneishere How do you know that then?
SweetMae · 70-79, F
No. No one is perfect.
ChimerIX · 26-30, M
As far as I know, only the 10 Commandments are to be treated as law. But considering the supposed stance on sinners and saints, no. People fuck up, but it's whether they can admit they fuck up and own up for it is where the real issue lies.
He expected that we would sin (be disobedient to his commandments) and that is why we have repentance.

Repentance allows us to be forgiven and have sins washed away. Repentance isn't just saying sorry and being absolved. It's a change of heart, a turning away from sin. Repentance is also making restitution (as far as we are able).

God is merciful and looks upon the heart. That is why He is our judge and not other people. They cannot see our heart.
@PhlipipUK My life experiences have helped me to know.
PhlipipUK · 70-79, MVIP
@midnightrose Do you care to elaborate on that so that ignorant people like me might be able to understand.
@PhlipipUK The world is governed by universal laws, as well as all that inhabit this world. That much has been known through scientific discovery.

There is also universal truth. Throughout my life I have tried to find it. I have felt led to places at specific times in my life that have made truth better known to me.

Much like others have been led to ask questions about the world and they came to greater understanding through their close observations. I have pondered it in my mind and had moments where my knowledge and understanding of what's true has been confirmed to me.

And please don’t point out my use of “he”, I don’t believe God is male or female, but don’t like using “it” or the grammatically incorrect “they”
God doesn't make any rules, he just gives you conscience
PhlipipUK · 70-79, MVIP
@SimplyLogicalDiscipline How do you know that then?
@PhlipipUK with conscience,he gave brain as well haha
Sweetthing · F
If God expected that he would have never have come up with the concept of forgiveness.
revenant · F
different rules for different religions
Pfuzylogic · M
Jesus was the one that had to keep all of the laws.
LonelyMan · M
We are to do our best, but He knows we will fall short of perfection. If we could live a sinless life, then there was no need for Jesus to die on the cross.
@LonelyMan I live a sinless life.
LonelyMan · M
@HungJury You also live a fantasy life!
@LonelyMan I don't believe in imaginary beings. Who is living in make believe?
SW-User
"His" rules.
PrivatePeeks · 26-30, F
If God exists I don't think it would expect you to just die at the hands of aggressors and never fight back with deadly force.
JoeyFoxx · 51-55, M
Do aliens kidnap someone every day and replace them with replicants?
Only if you believe in such fairytales
User41 · 36-40, M
I’ll let you slide some of the time...
Shaneishere · 31-35, M
He looks at the individual.
