It nowt to do with politics that those paid to understand diseases and treatment tell us not to try it.
Hydroxichloroquine is used for treating malaria, lupus, porphyria and one or two other diseases, but has [i]not[/i] been tested and cleared properly for treating Corvid-19; and is a very powerful so dangerous drug if not used under proper medical supervision.

@sunsporter1649 What would be terrible is if someone tried to politicise a pandemic. But of course, no one on here would ever do that.

No they don't want people taking it because it isn't effective, it's meant to treat malaria, and in fact, a study conducted showed that people who took it had a higher death rate. France did a study on it also, so it's not just the USA media. If this drug was effective, don't you think the UK or Italy, or Spain, Germany or France would be using it?

no. because it has alot of negative side effects. its not meant for that use. its only being used that way as a quick fix. thats why no one else is using it.

@cherokeepatti everything has positive and negative side effects that are based on probability. you dont get the same effect on every person. thats why some people have to try multiple different drugs before they find one that works. and just because it fixes one problem now doesnt mean it wont cause other ones later. in my opinion, i wouldnt inject myself with a serious drug like that until i learned some chemistry and fact checked all the things in that needle.

@GuyWithOpinions There are very very few risks associated with the medicine. It has been used for 1/2 a century. We know the risks by now. Certainly more than the vaccines and other treatments they are rushing to produce.

@GuyWithOpinions any alternatives will have side effects. I used to go to the library and get pharmaceutical books, the type doctors use, and sit and read about side effects of some very commonly prescribed medications...they all have side effects.
