Question for folks from the United States

California would be an enormous economic loss. I don't know about Texas.
Edit: Texas #2 after California. So that would still be pretty bad.

I don't think California wants to secede it is more like a lot of people want to get rid of them.

It's more like faint whispers, not rumblings. One of these idiots is the former Governor of Texas, a guy who could not name the US Department, he was later put in charge of by Agent Orange.

These people should feel free to emigrate to a place that would accommodate them. We are a [b]United[/b] States of America.

I don't think the Feds should stop any state from seceding by force.

If either State were to get serious about secession, I think we should look into the reasons for it and seriously consider addressing them, especially large states with economies, resources and people that the nation wants to keep.

Monroe County, Florida actually did cede from the Union, established the Conch Republic, and attacked the Armed Forces of the United States.

It's unlikely to happen in either case. The logistics, politics, and financial fallout would be devestating.
