Democrats Celebrating

Hurray for New York, its now legal for children to be aborted right up to birth, and if they survive the abortion to be killed. And one does not have to even be a doctor to administer abortions in New York. To a standing ovation and cheering by those wonderful folks, too.
SW-User
I can't... there's not even a word for this kind of evil.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@sunsporter1649 I don’t live in NY. The act was indeed passed. Your characterization of it is extreme to the point of silliness though.
The law also addresses late-term abortions. Under New York's Reproductive Health Act, they can be performed after 24 weeks if the fetus is not viable or when necessary to protect the life of the mother.
And
one does not have to even be a doctor to administer abortions in New York.
Is a stand-in for licensed midwives being able to prescribe the abortion pill. Big whoop lmao.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@QuixoticSoul And any clown with a coat hanger determines what is in their opinion whether the child is viable, not a medical doctor, is not in the bill?
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@sunsporter1649 Uh, no, only a doctor can perform any kind of surgical abortion, whether before 24 weeks or not.

Edit: correction, a physician assistant also can, under direction and supervision of an MD.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
You got it wrong, which is not surprising. Abortions are legal in NY up to 24 weeks of pregnancy. Late-term abortion is legal ONLY if the mother's life or health is in danger, or if the fetus in not viable. There will be no widespread late-term abortions, only in rare cases.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@sunsporter1649 Odd way to describe doctors 🤷‍♂️
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@QuixoticSoul You must pass the bill before you can find out what is in it. Oops, the bill is passed, now you can read it.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@sunsporter1649 The bill has been stuck in legislature since ‘06. Everyone had plenty of time to read it. It doesn’t say what you think it does.
SW-User
The fact is, there's no medical reason to abort a baby at such a late stage for the health of the mother. Delivery, yes. But at 24 weeks 50-70% of babies are viable, at 26 weeks it's over 90%. These babies can be delivered and put up for adoption rather than murdered because they are unwanted by their parents.
OggggO · 36-40, M
@SW-User And New York has a law allowing abortion for medical necessity after 24 weeks. If laws are proof, then you don't get to privilege one law over another.
SW-User
@OggggO I wasn't giving one privilege over another, I was pointing out the hypocrisy.

Anyway, I'm headed to bed. Thanks for the discussion.
OggggO · 36-40, M
@SW-User How is it hypocrisy for one place to do one thing and a different place to do another?
dems dont like kids..

they even set their attack dogs onto catholic school children..

Abortions happen every day in fertility clinics around the country.

I never hear any Right To Life people fighting to stop IVIG treatments?
Why is that?? 🤔

You do know that they implant "the best fertilized eggs" inside a woman and see which one will stick.

They are playing God every day and no one seems to care?

I guess it's only fun for you when you can victimize a woman.
Pherick · 41-45, M
Of course none of what you said is even remotely true.
What's True
The New York state legislature passed a law allowing abortions after 24 weeks if the mother's health is at risk or there is an absence of fetal viability.

What's False
The law does not allow for unrestricted abortion up through the normal term of pregnancy.
Riverman · 56-60, M
@Pherick Not true. The woman can "claim" she is financially or emotionally unable.
Pherick · 41-45, M
@Riverman Where? Where have you found a real source that says a woman can claim that and it makes it true?

The only I found was posted above, by a pro-life group. Nothing has been challenged by a court yet.

Everything people are talking about here is just prattle.

This is even going beyond the fact NO FUCKING woman is carrying a baby past 24 weeks (thats 6 months) and then goes, "Eh you know what I don't want this any more". Its a great narrative, but it just doesn't happen. Late term abortions are used when the mother's life is at risk or the fetus is not viable.
Riverman · 56-60, M
@sunsporter1649 That is a lot of words to just say nothing.
Graylight · 51-55, F
The state will now allow an abortion up to birth if and only if the mother's life is endangered. As for killing a child once it's born, find a source for that hallucination.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@MarmeeMarch You could look it up, as Casey Stengal used to say so often.

@sunsporter1649 Many people - believe it or not - do their research before opening their mouths. Since we know you won't, here's the actual text of the new provision. WARNING: Big words ahead.
Riverman · 56-60, M
Yep. You can kill everyone you want before they cross the border into the world.
MsMontgomery · 51-55, F
@Riverman how sad!... but, you had a a great point... perhaps they should have put up a wall to keep the swimmers from passing through that border in the first place. 😉
Joker · 36-40, M
Thanks to all the piece of shit pro-choice fucks. Rape and the mother dying if she has the baby are the only humane logical reasons for an abortion. Everything else is a bullshit excuse.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@Joker Oooooh touchy touchy

Cuomo was applauded and given a standing ovation for signing a bill into law which allows infanticide. I don't know who is more vile or evil, Cuomo and his supporters or the ones who aren't paying attention to the left's death march against every form of human life. These people are sick, morally bankrupt and without human souls.
katielass · F
I've always been pro choice but once the baby can feel pain it's outright murder. How barbaric the left has become.
OggggO · 36-40, M
@katielass Do you enjoy lying?
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@OggggO Do you enjoy murder?
Why in the most remotest of remote would YOU have to worry about that. Your dick could not stand on its own if it had a scaffold propping it up.
Tracos · 51-55, M
Is that really true?
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@Tracos Absolutely true.
Joker · 36-40, M
@Tracos yes it's true though a judge has ruled it unconstitutional. We will see what happens on the flip side of the lib coin.

This is the kind of brain Andrew Cuomo has, he has the IQ of a peanut shell.

Ita sick they say only for the health of the mother but the act leaves a broad definition of that. Any real woman would rather die herself than kill her own child

This is the best article on the legalization of abortion I've read. I recommend anyone read it.

@Razorback Still are. Hence this bill - which was passed in case RvW gets overturned.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@QuixoticSoul Oh, I get it, if RvW gets overturned, then the various stats have the right to overthrow Federal Law? Did not we fight a war over that once? Oops, forgot, the war never happened, all the memorials are being destroyed, it was all fake news.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@sunsporter1649 Which Federal law are you talking about? Overturning RvW wouldn’t render abortion illegal by federal law. It would just leave it unprotected. For NY, a 1970 law would go back into effect, and they just replaced it with this one.

There is no federal law against abortion.
texastrue · 61-69, M
I like to think I'm a tough guy but reach time I hear of this I get teary eyed.
