Please tell me why you actually hate Trump.

This man has selfishly given up his life to bring prosperity and opportunity back to the American people. He is working for free 24 hours a day to give the power back to the people and enforce the borders. If you really hate him, I want to know why.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
He made us ridiculous and squandered much of the soft power that we spent almost a century building. Him presiding over the tail end of a historic economic expansion doesn't change that. The damage he's done is long lasting, and we'll reap it for generations.

It's funny. I honestly would be thoroughly "meh" if we had another republican president doing much of the same stuff Trump is doing. Tax cuts, deficits, trying to gut social services, pushing their equally irrelevant social nonsense, etc - all of that is just background America, and has always been there anyway, the constant ebb and flow. I'm fairly in the center politically, and largely isolated from presidential policy so whatever.

But Trump violated the single real characteristic of US presidency that's always been definitive for me, and it's something I never even realized was there - being an adult. Turns out, that matters.
ContributorJo · 51-55, M
Your trouble in understanding other's objection to Trump is that you have bought into a persona he has crafted specifically to appeal to folks like you. If he thought he could have boosted his name and lined his pockets as a Democrat he would have built that persona. In fact he used to be a Democrat when it was politically advantageous in NYC. At the time, in a recorded interview, he said that if he ever ran for president he would run as a Republican because they'll believe anything. He's telling you what you want to hear but its all self serving BS.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
I don't hate Trump. I strongly dislike what he is doing to the country--ripping apart its institutions by claiming that a free press is the enemy of the people, supporting white supremacists, making racist statements and actions, eliminating environmental protections, blowing up the deficit for the sole benefit of the wealthy, ignoring global climate change and pulling out of the Paris Accords, supporting authoritarian regimes around the world while pushing away our allies, falsely claiming that the DOJ and FBI are against him, rolling back wilderness protections, enriching himself through his presidential actions, and lying many, many times a day, every day. The result is a president who has 36% of the population completely convinced he is their savior, while the remaining 64% can see what he is doing to destroy the nation.
NorthernRoses · 22-25, F
Mostly just because of his plain ol' incompetency. Not to mention he lies like his life depends on it - either that or he just believes whatever he reads, which again, not a good trait for a president.

He also doesn't believe in climate change, makes unprofessional tweets, is short-sighted as all hell, etc. There's tons of reasons to hate or dislike the dude.
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
His total immorality and his narcissism probably ... add that to the fact that he's a crook , a traitor and a rapist and you pretty much have it all right there.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
He definitely does not work 24 hours a day. Exaggerate much? All those political rallies he attended was not work but yet cost the taxpayers millions. 🙄

Power back to the people? Are you kidding? If he could, he’d take power from the people.
ozgirl512 · 26-30, F
@SimplyTracie antithesis is the word you're looking for I think🤔
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@ozgirl512 Yess, that’s the word. 😂

unknownpoetx · 36-40, M
are you retarded or just mentally challenged?
ContributorJo · 51-55, M
@4meAndyou with all respect, retarded should not be offensive. It was once the clinical term for what you now dub special needs.Eventually special needs will be used as an insult and then we'll need to find another thing to call people who are genetically intellectually inhibited. When challenged was the appropriate word I overheard an argument between 2 teen girls where one asked if the other was challenged. The term used is immaterial. Eventually, whatever it is called people will use it to give insult to others.
It's because people are cruel to each other.
4meAndyou · F
@ContributorJo I disagree. Language can be offensive in the present moment, when decades have not elapsed to change that language or make it less offensive. "Should not"?? Tell that to American blacks who object to white Americans calling them by offensive terms.

I agree that people are very, very cruel, and there is an example of same just above. But don't fear. I am about to block him.
ContributorJo · 51-55, M
I understand your point of view but your analogy is flawed. Black people (not cofined to Americans)being called by racially offensive epithets have always been the subject of a slur. There was no time the term was not meant to degrade and dehumanize. The term I referred to was once a clinical description which morphed by context. People trying to belittle the intellect of others will always latch onto whatever the current term in use for those who are intellectually handicapped. You can change it as often as you like but insult will catch up to terminology. I see that as a very big difference. Between the two.
Where have you been for the past 2 years ? If you didn't believe the truth about him, the hundreds of lies that have been proven to be lies, why should repeating them all again make any difference to you now ? When he tried to denigrate John McCain everyone of our enemies saw that, they also saw him turn his back on our closest allies. And our allies watched him embrace the leaders of countries that want to destroy our country, the country that he says he loves. And as far as protecting it from interference in our voting system by foreign countries he wasn't concerned at all. His only concern was/is about being caught in "Collusion". Do you believe that he is the ideal model of what the Successful American Business Man, or President, or a decent Man should be ? Should I raise my children to aspire to become and behave like him ?
hlpflwthat · M
Do the part where you say "Trump is like Jesus" again. That always makes me smile :)
SW-User
Working for free? He's making a lot of money as president. The reason people do not like him is because he is a narcissist who does not care about Americans, doesn't know how to run a county and is a con artist. Even people in the Republican party don't like him.
unknownpoetx · 36-40, M
@SW-User the massive insane tax cut has make them win millions. way much more than all the other presidents combined.
Xuan12 · 31-35, M
I wouldn't say I hate him, but his short-sightedness is concerning. Also, his reputation for honesty is quite bad. He frequently tells very poorly constructed lies. It's insulting that he believes anyone would fall for them, but then he seems to be right, some people do.
unknownpoetx · 36-40, M
maybe because it's because he's a homophobic delusional liar climate change denier racist misogynist xenophobic piece of shit that is making life worse for the entire planet. yea perhaps it has something to do with that I dunno that's just a wild guess 🤔
As a public service announcement, i'd just like to inform everyone that you're talking to a person who believes that Trump's presidency is ordained by God.

He will not be accepting any answers for why you hate trump.

millielovesapples · 22-25, F
He's a rapist, he claims autism doesn't exist and is just an excuse for adults to act like children, he's a supporter of conversion therapy, some of things too but not gonna go through it all, he's just not a good person.
enigma666 · 36-40, F
@millielovesapples he's no rapist you have no proof on that
carsonfry · 22-25, M
@millielovesapples People have many reasons for saying things especially if they are President. You need to watch what he actually does. This is what matters.
MissTaken · 36-40, F
Are playing a lot of Golf and spending hours Tweeting essential Presidential duties?
carsonfry · 22-25, M
@MissTaken Giving jobs to Americans is a good start. You know a better country to live in? Obama took away these jobs, Trump brought them back.
MissTaken · 36-40, F
@carsonfry Trump hasn’t personally given Americans jobs indeed he has sought to bring in temporary foreign labour to work in his hotels and resorts. Obama actually created employment during his tenure following the economic mess created by a previous republican administration and Trump has benefited from Obama efforts. As for better countries to live in I can think of several

They hate the president because the TV told them to.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@carsonfry
@QuixoticSoul Trump is a piece of shit, really? They guy has given up his life to work every day for free to help the Average American and destroy the Government Establishment.

This country was founded on the power of the people and the dismissal of government overreach and control.

We are in an era where the government has become the government we ran away from. They think they know better than us, and it is better that we become good and obedient subjects than think and act on our own. This philosophy has never worked in the past and will not work now.

Ever taken your car to a plumber to have it fixed? Same as having the government solve a local problem.

There was a time our elected officials took up our issues at the local level, but now they do not, they do not work for free anymore, they pull a salary greater than ours no matter what they do. I would love to get paid $200,000 a year for doing whatever the fuck I wanted.

Enough said. If you were Trump, what would you do, and would you do it for free?
😂😂😂
carsonfry · 22-25, M
I am glad you took the time to frame the question, but you did not answer it.

That is what most of you commentators do. They comment, but they do not tell us why Trump is so wrong, and in doing so, what they would do different.

Instead they just comment. All of us can have comments. But most of us can not be Trump.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@carsonfry That’s a silly and bizarrely open ended question that isn’t even worth answering. I’m already here in the politics section dissecting trumps decisions and pointing to alternatives every single day - I don’t need to condense it all for you in some kind of dissertation.

Besides, it’s easier to simply laugh at someone who legit thinks Trump is “kind of like Jesus”.
The president does get paid you know.
hlpflwthat · M
@midnightrose Name one of the charities? 😏
@hlpflwthat I said agencies. @carsonfry said charities. Politifact and Snopes both confirm that he has donated his salary thus far, though.
Docdon23 · M
@carsonfry he is making a fortune as president...his companies, hotels, etc are raking in the dough...probably a violation of the Emoluments Clause
