Can't get a Nobel with no action

"Wow," Trump said, "we haven’t given up anything & they have agreed to denuclearization (so great for World), site closure, & no more testing!"

"If I think that it's a meeting that is not going to be fruitful, we're not going to go," Trump said. "If the meeting, when I'm there, is not fruitful, I will respectfully leave the meeting, and we'll continue what we're doing or whatever it is that we'll continue."

"Funny how all of the Pundits that couldn’t come close to making a deal on North Korea are now all over the place telling me how to make a deal!"

And now the peace talks will be delayed indefinitely. Shocking.

I always smirk when I see the anti Trumpers take pleasure on this setback.

It would seem his administration is serious about this and has made some progress, but you guys would rather see this fail since you hate him so much.

It's pathetic really. Would it be so terrible if he succeeded? It seems like you guys want it to fail so you can be validated about your virulent hatred of Trump and everything he is doing. How do you keep your smug moral superiority if that is true?

@Northwest How many symptoms do you have? Number 2 for sure. What about the rest?

1. A significant, ongoing impairment in social interactions with others, as demonstrated by at least two of the following symptoms:

Significant difficulty in the use of multiple nonverbal behaviors such as the lack of eye contact, few facial expressions, awkward or clumsy body postures and gestures
Failure to develop friendships with other children of the same age
Lack of spontaneous seeking to share enjoyment, interests, or achievements with other people (e.g., by a lack of showing, bringing, or pointing out objects of interest to other people)
Failure to express appropriate and corresponding social or emotional reactions, such as when conversing or playing with others. For example, a child who shows little or no reaction, feelings, or empathy to another child talking with them.

2. Restricted and repetitive patterns of behavior, interests, and activities, as shown by at least one of the following symptoms:

A significant and encompassing preoccupation or obsession with one or two restricted topics, that is abnormal either in intensity, subject or focus (such as baseball statistics or the weather)
Seemingly inflexible adherence to specific routines or rituals that serve little purpose
Repetitive motor mannerisms. For example, hand or finger flapping or twisting, or complex whole-body movements.
A persistent preoccupation with parts of objects

3. The set of symptoms causes significant impairment in social, occupational, or other important areas of functioning.

4. There is no significant general delay in language (e.g., single words used by age 2, communicative phrases used by age 3).

5. There is no significant delay in cognitive development (such as reading or math skills) or in the development of age-appropriate self-help skills, behavior, and curiosity about the environment in childhood.

Really? Well your responses consistently demonstrate otherwise.

I just reread the most recent (published within hours) CNN articles. While long on direct predictions and pessimism and guesswork the articles are extremely short on facts.

The President has said enough things to keep NK and China guessing and in suspense regarding the proposition thst will ultimately be put to NK.

The President has not changed his desire or or plans for the meeting. He has acknowledged correctly that something may happen and it might not occur on the planned date and be rescheduled.

Admittedly the President’s coy negotiating kerfuffles are somewhat ham handed. However he has not made threats and in fact provided guaranteed KJU’s future following successful negotiations.

From KJU’s standpoint, it is understandable that he is not enthused sbout spending time with John Bolton. While not knowing him personally of course, to me he looks like an unpleasant individual. The good cop bad cop technique is cliched of course but virtually every cliche is based in fact. There is no way that the President and Pompeo to an extent won’t come off as appearing to be quite the good cops.

Based on my reading, as of today anyway CNNis doing a lot of guessing and speculating with the intent to disparage the President based on literally no solid factual information.

Do you think that I, or the handful of posters, including the post that started this thread, disagree?

It's really funny, because in fact, the President and is supporters, are the only parties guilty of predicting the outcome.

Would you like me to re-post his tweets? How about his campaign stops since, and the "Nobel" shouts.

In fact, this is what this thread is about.
While I agree that the president’s Saber rattling has been and will continue to be helpful
Why do you think this is the case? Here's the chronology:

1. The US stated that we will be conducting joint military exercises with S. Korea, with N. Korea in mind.

2. KJU threw a fit and said that if it did not stop, he will fire missles.

3. Trump responded with insulting tweets.

4. KJU responded with missiles

5. Moon, and every single Hawaiian with access to information, got a fresh pair of underwear, and begged Trump to stop the military exercises, for the Olympics sake.

6. Military exercises cancelled.

7. Moon intensifies diplomacy, resuting in KJU sending a delegation to the Olympics.

8. Under directions from Trump, Pence refuses to shake hands with KJU's sister.

9. Trump continues to insult KJU, calling him names, dictator, starving his people, calling the people who believe in diplomacy naive, etc.

10. Moon gives full credit to Trump, targeting that matters the most: Trump's ego.

11. Moon calls Trump worthy of a Nobel.

12. Moon's flattery works, Trump is fully on board. KJU is now an Honorable man.

Well, you know the rest. One more thing worth mentioning: we don't even have an enjoy to S. Korea, so to say that Trump or the US had anything to do with it, is really a stretch.
the SK’s deserve a lot of credit for whatever positive movement had occurred and I’d even grudgingly give some to NK.
N. Korea has CONCLUDED three previous agreements with the US, under three separate Presidents. They violated all of them.

What did the Great Negotiator do? He proudly showed off his Nobel boner, giving an advantage to the N. Koreans.

The Chief Executive works in the background, while the teams negotiate a deal, and only shows his hand, when the deal is concluded.

You may say that Trump's style is non conventional, but that's not what it's about.

By giving up the advantage, Trump is now reduced to promising that KJU will have guarantees not to be removed, to be rewarded handsomely, his country enriched, his people prosperous.

I'd love some of that for the people of Mississippi, but I digress, this is about N. Korea.

KJU is still the same guy. He killed, starved and imprisoned his people. He killed quite a few family members, including his own brother, uncle and others. He's still the same guy.

Our President just promised him that he will remain the Supreme Commander, in oder for Trump not to have egg on his face.

Would you, personally, negotiate like this?

Nukes were a simple ruse. As stated to you, months ago, KJU is never going to use a nuke. This would be suicide. He fully realizes that firing it against the US is pointless, because it will be intercepted, and firing against S. Korea, would be like sitting in your garage, with your opponent, shutting all doors and windows, and running your car engine.

As to your CNN point, sure, CNN is the primary source of impeachment porn, but don't you think that this is Trump's fault as well, for declaring an extermination war on CNN?

When this is over, if the Koreas are unified, and the Korean people are no longer under a brutal regime, it would be a great outcome and I will credit where credit is due.

Given the President's track record, can you honestly say that President "this was the largest inauguration crowd in history", will give any credit where credit is due? If in doubt, check his tweets and point to any tweets, where he acknowledges anyone in the "progress" made to date.

That’s too much to address all at once. The highlights that stand out:

Pence not shaking hands - disgraceful regardless of who made that call

Why would we spend all that money in SK and NOT have an envoy?

In the beginning of the campaign the President and Chris Cuomo got along well

@jackjjackson CNN is a side issue. You'll need to show me where Cuomo is disseminating wrong information.

Forget about the summit. The White House Communications Agency, created and issued a commemorative coin featuring Trump and Kim's likeness with the words "PEACE TALKS" above them.

Order yours now, because they're going to be a very limited edition.

@Northwest Nice Trump stare-down. Or does he have cervical problems?
Northwest · M
@Graylight Stormy, in her CNN interview, said that he has a good posture. Or had one a decade ago. Note the "Supreme Leader". He's come a long way from little man dictator who kills his people.
i think north korea wasnt going to go through with it in the first place. north wanted more something south korea was stating a while ago.

"and we'll continue what we're doing or whatever it is that we'll continue."

Is there an interpreter in the house?

😂😂😂
It's so upsetting that such a sensitive issue is in the hands of this man child.
GunSmoke9 · 56-60, M
Didn't Obama win with no action?
GunSmoke9 · 56-60, M
@Graylight How is that?
Graylight · 51-55, F
@GunSmoke9 I would suggest that to ignore and disclude Democrats and liberals, who make up roughly half this country, is to refuse to listen to different perspectives and attempt to find compromise. That is one definition of narrow-minded.
Northwest · M
@GunSmoke9 No, you're racist, because you've been consistently racist. Let's not throw all that other stuff in.

@Northwest Back to name calling, excellent. All of that "saber rattling" the really paying off.
Northwest · M
@Graylight So, Trump just sent KJU a "Dear John" letter, telling him not to hesitate to call or write... Remarkable, reads like something Don Corleone would write, included a not so subtle threat, to nuke N. Korea.
