Can't get a Nobel with no action

"Wow," Trump said, "we haven’t given up anything & they have agreed to denuclearization (so great for World), site closure, & no more testing!"

"If I think that it's a meeting that is not going to be fruitful, we're not going to go," Trump said. "If the meeting, when I'm there, is not fruitful, I will respectfully leave the meeting, and we'll continue what we're doing or whatever it is that we'll continue."

"Funny how all of the Pundits that couldn’t come close to making a deal on North Korea are now all over the place telling me how to make a deal!"

And now the peace talks will be delayed indefinitely. Shocking.

I just reread the most recent (published within hours) CNN articles. While long on direct predictions and pessimism and guesswork the articles are extremely short on facts.

The President has said enough things to keep NK and China guessing and in suspense regarding the proposition thst will ultimately be put to NK.

The President has not changed his desire or or plans for the meeting. He has acknowledged correctly that something may happen and it might not occur on the planned date and be rescheduled.

Admittedly the President’s coy negotiating kerfuffles are somewhat ham handed. However he has not made threats and in fact provided guaranteed KJU’s future following successful negotiations.

From KJU’s standpoint, it is understandable that he is not enthused sbout spending time with John Bolton. While not knowing him personally of course, to me he looks like an unpleasant individual. The good cop bad cop technique is cliched of course but virtually every cliche is based in fact. There is no way that the President and Pompeo to an extent won’t come off as appearing to be quite the good cops.

Based on my reading, as of today anyway CNNis doing a lot of guessing and speculating with the intent to disparage the President based on literally no solid factual information.

Do you think that I, or the handful of posters, including the post that started this thread, disagree?

It's really funny, because in fact, the President and is supporters, are the only parties guilty of predicting the outcome.

Would you like me to re-post his tweets? How about his campaign stops since, and the "Nobel" shouts.

In fact, this is what this thread is about.
While I agree that the president’s Saber rattling has been and will continue to be helpful
Why do you think this is the case? Here's the chronology:

1. The US stated that we will be conducting joint military exercises with S. Korea, with N. Korea in mind.

2. KJU threw a fit and said that if it did not stop, he will fire missles.

3. Trump responded with insulting tweets.

4. KJU responded with missiles

5. Moon, and every single Hawaiian with access to information, got a fresh pair of underwear, and begged Trump to stop the military exercises, for the Olympics sake.

6. Military exercises cancelled.

7. Moon intensifies diplomacy, resuting in KJU sending a delegation to the Olympics.

8. Under directions from Trump, Pence refuses to shake hands with KJU's sister.

9. Trump continues to insult KJU, calling him names, dictator, starving his people, calling the people who believe in diplomacy naive, etc.

10. Moon gives full credit to Trump, targeting that matters the most: Trump's ego.

11. Moon calls Trump worthy of a Nobel.

12. Moon's flattery works, Trump is fully on board. KJU is now an Honorable man.

Well, you know the rest. One more thing worth mentioning: we don't even have an enjoy to S. Korea, so to say that Trump or the US had anything to do with it, is really a stretch.
the SK’s deserve a lot of credit for whatever positive movement had occurred and I’d even grudgingly give some to NK.
N. Korea has CONCLUDED three previous agreements with the US, under three separate Presidents. They violated all of them.

What did the Great Negotiator do? He proudly showed off his Nobel boner, giving an advantage to the N. Koreans.

The Chief Executive works in the background, while the teams negotiate a deal, and only shows his hand, when the deal is concluded.

You may say that Trump's style is non conventional, but that's not what it's about.

By giving up the advantage, Trump is now reduced to promising that KJU will have guarantees not to be removed, to be rewarded handsomely, his country enriched, his people prosperous.

I'd love some of that for the people of Mississippi, but I digress, this is about N. Korea.

KJU is still the same guy. He killed, starved and imprisoned his people. He killed quite a few family members, including his own brother, uncle and others. He's still the same guy.

Our President just promised him that he will remain the Supreme Commander, in oder for Trump not to have egg on his face.

Would you, personally, negotiate like this?

Nukes were a simple ruse. As stated to you, months ago, KJU is never going to use a nuke. This would be suicide. He fully realizes that firing it against the US is pointless, because it will be intercepted, and firing against S. Korea, would be like sitting in your garage, with your opponent, shutting all doors and windows, and running your car engine.

As to your CNN point, sure, CNN is the primary source of impeachment porn, but don't you think that this is Trump's fault as well, for declaring an extermination war on CNN?

When this is over, if the Koreas are unified, and the Korean people are no longer under a brutal regime, it would be a great outcome and I will credit where credit is due.

Given the President's track record, can you honestly say that President "this was the largest inauguration crowd in history", will give any credit where credit is due? If in doubt, check his tweets and point to any tweets, where he acknowledges anyone in the "progress" made to date.

That’s too much to address all at once. The highlights that stand out:

Pence not shaking hands - disgraceful regardless of who made that call

Why would we spend all that money in SK and NOT have an envoy?

In the beginning of the campaign the President and Chris Cuomo got along well

@jackjjackson CNN is a side issue. You'll need to show me where Cuomo is disseminating wrong information.
