Going to a funeral with my wife. How do I keep calm with her crazy family?

My wife’s grandmother died and we are going to a funeral Saturday. Her whole family will be there and let’s just say I can’t stand them. They are a bunch of druggies who only care about themselves. My wife’s childhood was ruined because of everyone in her family. She was molested by a couple of them and my wife still at the age of 33 has serious issues and ptsd because of it. I just need help lol. Please someone give me advice on how to keep my cool. How should I prepare myself for this?

be diplomatic, fake and polite and remember during the whole time that your mission is 2 folds: 1: avoid any conflict 2:support your wife. no matter what they say, be patient, let it all fly by so that you can just go through it and leave. smile, be nice, forget how you really feel about them temporarily. they're not important enough to get angry.

Be prepared to continually remind all of them how grandfather will continue to be disappointed well after he’s dead

Limit your time there. Pay your respects quickly and get the hell out of Dodge.
Remember your wife will need you. Ignore them, but be there for her.
