I Was Catfished

So when I was about 19 I was on POF and i was talking to this guy and i ended up calling him and we talked all night and we really clicked and he seemed so sweet he told me he was a teacher and told me he drove this really nice car and then he sent me like this picture of him and his family which was cool but when i asked to skype he told me he didnt have skype (which wasn't a big deal.) so i kindly asked him if he could send me a picture with my name wrote down on the paper. As soon as i asked him to do that he completely blocked me on POF. So i'm almost certain he was lying to me. I honestly felt so freaked out after that happened because i have no idea who I talked to that night or if his name was even real. It was just really creepy and I was just kinda wondering if anyone else has any Catfish stories they would like to share. I just find this really interesting

I’m well 70% sure I was and in here actually but apart of me does believe she was real, she got very angry when I asked her some questions because I heard from a few and also a couple of things I noticed were possible red flags, although I did hear her voice on Voxer but anyone can change their voice through apps these days, I met her when I was first on SW and one night, my stomach was bleeding (ulcer problems) and because there was no transport avalyable to the hospital til the next morning and she stayed with me on here and we talked all night, that’s something I won’t forget though. Then after the fall out when I asked questions, from time to time she had messaged me out of the blue, I’m very confused to be honest.

@Thatonekid236 well there was another profile who befriended me, and had similar mannerisms to her, every time he was on she wasn’t or vice versa like he played as her messenger, and around the time I took a deliberate cocaine overdose, around the time I was going through a serious cocaine addiction and extremely suicidal, then I had another attempt at my life a month later, that ulcer earlier mentioned I was getting it tested for a tumor (one of the reasons for my attempts), this guy told me he told her about it and she apparantley got real distraught and worried. But strangely that guys profile suddenly vanished and I never heard from him again.
Eventually after not hearing from her for a long time either, I ended up being told by 4 different people she wasn’t a real person, but I’m one not to believe everything I hear so I asked her about it, and the way she spoke about the other member she sounded like how a guy would insult a woman, and I have equal gut and girls as friends to know characteristics of either. But that being said people are out to get each other more than try to connect with one another.

When I was 18 I dealt with a similar problem with a person on EP, her excuses were so lame like she would tell me that her laptop has no camera. I then stopped talking to her and she disappeared only to come a year or 2 years after that and I find an email from her saying that she did lie to me and that her real name is Allysa and this is her now and she sends 20 pics of a girl and I really didn't buy it and when I told her that if she really wants to talk to me she should send me a pic of her holding a paper with her name on it and then the excuses came back and I just told her not to contact me again and ignored her.
