Were your parents happy to be together?

They got along well but they never really functioned like a married couple. More like roommates that drove each other crazy but who knew they really cared about each other. And I was the same, my dad never felt like a dad but rather like a responsible and caring older brother to me, and my mom felt like my crazy out of control older sister who I loved and cared about and who felt the same way about me but had a hard time understanding her and who was clearly troubled.

I don't know if they are happy to be together exactly. But I don't think my mom would want to be married to anyone else.
They definitely have some stuff to work on, and I don't envy their relationship one bit, but they kind of match each other, in a disfunctional way. They love eachother despite how incredibly much they have struggled.

When thrmey were married they tended to fight a lot. But when they didnt fight i thought they made the perfect couple. I dont know. Id like to think they did while my dad was alive.

Perhaps in the beginning but by time I was in 1st grade it got interesting.

Yea my dad passed away last year but they were married for 40 years, no trouble

they tolerated one another but they were sooooo opposite. idk how they made it to 50 yrs. honestly.

Maybe in the beginning for a while, but they eventually got divorced when I was 18.

They argued a lot, but my mom and my step dad were genuinely happy together.
