I Love Europe

Huge crowds are gathering in central London this afternoon (3/23/2019) to demand another public say to “stop the Brexit madness”, with hundreds of thousands yet to set off.

I love you. I love you. You are the ones. You are the future. You are not stuck in the past. You are looking forward. You know where our common future is. It is in Europe. Our Europe. Our home.

I would want to kiss all of you if I could. Stay strong. Stay with us. We are family. You are in good company.

Europeans of all countries unite! 🇪🇺 🌷
The majority vote demanded that Britain leave the EU! Mob rule will not prevail no matter how many people are in the streets.
At this point in time, the ruling elite are ignoring the wishes of the people. The EU has become a tyrannical organization that does not have the best interests of the common people of its member countries at heart...

Obviously all Europeans’ future is in Europe and obviously co-operation and friendly relations between all Europeans is highly desirable. Leavers are not anti-European we are anti-EU. We see the EU as increasingly totalitarian, or perhaps I should say imperialist, more interested in its survival as an organisation than in the welfare and wishes of its citizens - characteristics which it has amply demonstrated in the Brexit negotiations. Personally I think the EU is, in the long run, a danger to the very European ideals which you espouse and which I share.

@MartinII " Still, the model you describe is much preferable to the present one.

— Please join me and millions of others in our attempt to make Europe a true democracy: politically united, culturally diverse.

Una in diversitate Europa.

@helenS But in order to allow true cultural diversity, isn’t it also necessary to allow political diversity? A tricky one, I think, which I will reflect on, and perhaps opine on, in due course. For now, thank you for a civilised and enjoyable debate today.

@MartinII You're most welcome. 🌷

I hope it rains... 😒
However, what they require goes much further than that! They want the member nations to take in, house, feed and supply basically an endless stream if “refugees!” It will in the end destriy the Europe you know!

@MartinII

@Thorstormbringer I quite agree with that. The difference of course is that thas is a policy which the EU has chosen to adopt and could change in future, whereas free movement within the EU is non-negotiable.
helenS · 36-40, F
@MartinII "free movement within the EU is non-negotiable.
— Yes. It's one of the four freedoms we have, and the most noble and significant one (the other three are free movement of goods, services, and capkital). It's because of this free movement of all Europeans that Europe is owned by the people, and not only by businessmen trying to make a decent profit, in foreign countries. It's our Europe. We are Europe. Come on Martin!

I think the concept of an exit from Europe is excellent the method is flawed,yes the EU has its good n bad,But I firmly advocate each country should govern themselves,Rather than have the modern day THIRD REICH dictate terms too countries they have no rights to interfer in,as the MEPs are not elected to govern,So if britian is taking a stand against the modern day Nazi regime so be it fair play.PACK UP AND LEAVE.
Just want to keep voting till you get the results you want. It's too late for thar now
helenS · 36-40, F
@MartinII Yes you are right, and I ask myself why it takes so long. People were told leaving is easily done.
@helenS opposition parties are trying to inflict as much political damage as possible. Think about that. Every blocked measure or vote to bring the separation to its expected end has been done without care to the citizens they were elected to represent.
MartinII · 70-79, M
@helenS The short answer is that the British government made a complete mess of the negotiations!
MasterLee · 56-60, M
Yes the minority left hates beneficial change. They want socialism so the "don't wannas" get free shit.
