I'm learning to drive stick shift and I am having trouble

I'm learning to drive stick shift and think it's really difficult. My instructor is good but I don't think he likes me. I know when and how to shift gears, but it's hard for me to do so without making the car jump or something. I stall out a lot, especially at roundabouts and stuff which sucks. I SUCK at parking, my instructor makes me do it by myself while he stands elsewhere watching from a distance but it takes me a while and I am not very good. I've never driven before, only a little but not really, so starting with stick sucks.

One of the most important things to remember is don't ride the clutch. That will lead to a very expensive repair.

Find a new instructor. My first instructor was a creep who didn't teach me how to change down gears properly....I reckon he didn't teach me a lot so he could make more money.
After I'd been with my second instructor, I passed my test within a few months. It just needs patience and practice.

I was always a quick learner for most things. I learned stick shift when I was 17 and of course I wasn't the best at if when I first started but as I started practicing more a few days later I was doing burnouts with my friends in the car

If you can, practice with a diesel car, those cars won't stall if you just lift the clutch without accelerating (unless you're going uphill). That would be the best way to learn how to get used to the motions of shifting.

Positive clutch movement is the way...fully depress, change gear, fully release. Don't hit the gas until your foot is off the clutch

It takes time and even some patience.
It’s definitely good to learn on a manual shift tho.
Practice and consistency.

Just remember when you feel the gear engage dont take your foot off the accelerator
Don’t burn that clutch up. 🙂
