I Like My Boss

@AlienZipper oh boy. you know the problem in a nutshell. an owner who has his head up his a** and a nutcase that can't manage herself much less others. i hear you. i have been in those situations and it made me physically ill

@AlienZipper I received official word yesterday that my old manager was fired. Had I still been there, I would have clapped when she was walked out. Thanks to the efforts started by me and continued by less than a handful of dedicated, caring co-workers, she was investigated and fired. She was a horrible manager who lied and never cared about the vulnerable people nor her staff. She was guilty of nepotism. I am delighted to say she is gone. But she left behind such troubles and many incompetent hires. It is a start though. She only got the job because she was due to be fired at her previous one and no one wanted this job. It took so long to gather facts on her incompetency. Too late to help me, but now another manager can be hired.

If I told you the company name you'd probably be shocked...

@AlienZipper nothing shocks me anymore. does this company promote themselves as progressive and fair? i bet they do yet run a jungle inside

@PoetryNEmotion damn...that sounds eerily familiar. I don't hold much hope for getting rid of this person unless she's caught red handed or the place gets sued for the way she's treated people.

@AlienZipper She will likely find another job. She performed so poorly it was actually laughable. But we were dealing with people's lives...That was terrible. And she lied so much. When they investigated for over a week, she couldn't cover all the lies. I hope the other woman there in management is more than warned.
If people gather facts and keep records and complain to whom it matters, there is some hope to be rid of your person. It takes a lot of effort. Good luck on that.

@AlienZipper in my state, it is the right to hire, they don't have to be fair. unless it is sex, race discrimination we have no leg to stand on

I was up for a nice promotion last year. She found out about it and threw me under the bus which kept me from the promotion. Even worse, the company owner, who suggested the promotion, took her word for it without so much as a whimper. Needless to say, I didn't get the promotion.

@akindheart I think so too, but what's bad is we've lost good people in leadership positions because of her. And good help is getting harder to find.
