Which sequel, prequel, or remake did you think was better than the original?

The remake of “Cape Fear” was better than the original. But the original “Planet of the Apes” was a lot better than the remake.

Rocky II was better than Rocky. Everyone knows this.

Star Trek II (Wrath of Khan) was also the best of the franchise.

The Dark Knight movie series was clearly the best Batman series.

Oddly, Ben Affleck's elderly Batman is one of the most convincing portrayals of Batman.

Mad Max II was better than the first. I actually liked Beyond the Thunderdome even thought it was farsical. And the most recent installment may have been as good as Mad Max II.

Thor:Ragnarok has been the best of the Thor movies.

The (A) or (B) version of "Twist and Shout" by The Beatles was better than The Isley Brothers
"Preachin' Blues" by Larkin Pee was better than Son House's 1931 original.

As much as I liked The Godfather, I thought Godfather II was better. And III much worse than either.
