E.T. the Extra Terrestrial....My parents took us to see it in a city 50 miles away so that no one in their church would see them going to a movie theater (it was believed that going to the movies was a sin... don't ask). I didn't go to see my first movie on my own until I turned 18 or 19. I was not allowed to go before that...it was a horror film but I don't remember what it was.

I believe it was Tarzan, the animated movie from 1999. I was 8. I also saw The Iron Giant and Pokemon the First Movie.
