Did "superheroes" teach children that its okay to wear a mask?

As a kid that grew up loving superheroes it taught me you always have a choice to help or hurt people with what you can do, whatever that gift or talent is.

No. They taught them to do good to people without boasting about it.

Good point. We all see Clark Kent as a good guy, but he’s a manipulative liar really

@Andrew19EightyFive think of all the situations when you are expected lie. It happens all the time. If you went to a job interview and were completely honest with the interviewer, you would never get the job. If you were completely honest in a relationship then the relationship would be doomed to fail. “Does my bum look big in this? Yeah bigger than last time you wore it” Try living your life completely honestly and you make life much more difficult for yourself

@YouCanCallMeDan The world is in such a way that it is very hard to be honest. It's not all that friendly to honesty. In fact, the world hates the truth and prefers the lie.

I know from experience, trying to be honest all the time. It is very difficult. The world demands that you lie.

But I haven't given up. That which is impossible with men is possible with God.

There would probably be some that would tell you that withholding information, or not sharing everything equates to lying. But I think that is not necessarily so. The thing is that God sees my heart and that I try.
@Andrew19EightyFive Heh, when I'm not telling the truth, I'm one to hide. People should have rights to privacy. I'm introverted, quiet & a private person for ex.

I don't think so. Plus... where da masks@?
@Andrew19EightyFive Everyone has masks. We show different masks to different people. I think in Japanese culture they discuss this matter. Its also brought up in acting. I would love to play a superhero.

@DarkSillyArtistGamerGeekdddddd Not so hard to think we all wear masks, in a sense. "Superheroes" seem kind of extreme in that regard though.
@Andrew19EightyFive Its sometimes their true identities. Like in the case of Batman.
Possibly. Everytime I wear one the fuckin pigs are on my ass.
