Did "superheroes" teach children that its okay to wear a mask?

@SW-User Of course they were around before 'Batman', 'Spiderman', etc. But in order to teach something, it doesn't have to taught for the first time ever.
@Andrew19EightyFive Everyone has masks. We show different masks to different people. I think in Japanese culture they discuss this matter. Its also brought up in acting. I would love to play a superhero.

@DarkSillyArtistGamerGeekdddddd Not so hard to think we all wear masks, in a sense. "Superheroes" seem kind of extreme in that regard though.
@Andrew19EightyFive Its sometimes their true identities. Like in the case of Batman.
