Good point. We all see Clark Kent as a good guy, but he’s a manipulative liar really

@YouCanCallMeDan Just recently I've been thinking of making a blog post on lying, like how they're manipulative and rob people of the ability to make informed decisions for themselves.

@Andrew19EightyFive think of all the situations when you are expected lie. It happens all the time. If you went to a job interview and were completely honest with the interviewer, you would never get the job. If you were completely honest in a relationship then the relationship would be doomed to fail. “Does my bum look big in this? Yeah bigger than last time you wore it” Try living your life completely honestly and you make life much more difficult for yourself

@YouCanCallMeDan The world is in such a way that it is very hard to be honest. It's not all that friendly to honesty. In fact, the world hates the truth and prefers the lie.

I know from experience, trying to be honest all the time. It is very difficult. The world demands that you lie.

But I haven't given up. That which is impossible with men is possible with God.

There would probably be some that would tell you that withholding information, or not sharing everything equates to lying. But I think that is not necessarily so. The thing is that God sees my heart and that I try.
@Andrew19EightyFive Heh, when I'm not telling the truth, I'm one to hide. People should have rights to privacy. I'm introverted, quiet & a private person for ex.
