I Am Fascinated By Human Behaviour

I have come to realize that those who are closest to you are the same people who misunderstand you as a person. I find this a little amusing and somewhat fascinating, as I still feel it would make better sense if a stranger would question your intentions or misinterpret your words as he does not know you well enough.

I think this happens because the people who are closest to us, the people who know us, view us in terms of the role we play in their lives. They have an image of us in their heads that plugs into their reality. This image isn't necessarily the way we view ourselves — it may not resemble we we think we are at all. This discrepancy inevitably leads to miscommunication and misunderstanding.

@DunningKruger Thank you for responding, I must say you have put a new spin on my thoughts. I just hate being misunderstood, all my life I have been clearing up misunderstandings.
