Break them up by overall subjects,

Such as one for just fun, one for politics, one for adult content, one for something else, etc.

Have a few large subjects that doesn't mesh well together, and allow to people to opt in or out of those subjects.

Sorta like groups, and sorta like the subject when asking a question, but have less of them, only the board main subjects.

That way, people that don't want to see politics don't have to, the ones that don't want to see nude questions don't have to, and the ones that don't want general fun don't have to (and whatever else there might be).

viewing it from my phone nothing has really changed, you still have to click the button to get it to refresh, and the old way they always seemed to be mixed anyway, honestly I really had to look into the update to notice anything at all.

The change was unnecessary and made the site less structured. I don't know how in their minds this could be a good thing, but it's not the first time they surprised me with their idiocy. Last time it was when they removed the standard optimized navigation to unnecessarily condense it to "fit in the games tab" that never arrived, nor will ever arrive, because I doubt they even know how to make one.
