I Love My Kids

Travelling through France and on a pit stop sleep over hotel I get to share a room with my 12 year old Son.

When we're alone together he talks and asks questions about things he wouldnt do so in a group.
So last nights questions were quiet deep and all about his future; It suddenly made me remember how I felt at his age. Bewilderment and apprehension about making it in life.

His questions;

Dad, how much will i need to earn to have my own place?

How much will i have to pay for a mortgage?

If I find a place and move in what happens if I want to move, can i do that?

Dad I worry that ill get paid and ill spend my money in the first two days and then not be able to pay the mortgage or rent.

Whats the best job that pays the most money so I can afford somewhere?

Dad, I know being a Doctor or a vet is paid well but im worried that if I do surgery ill make a mistake and its really heavy if youve got someones life in your hands.

Bless him. I love my kids.

Incredibly mature questions for a 12 year old, admirable in many ways, make sure he has some fun though!
