Is it safer to stay in the closet?

With homophobic attacks increasingly on the rise more than we know statistically, I would have to say that the gay community is more basically tolerated rather than accepted. I have seen the negative comments and hate and dislikes pride events get on YouTube videos. Homophobia is everywhere, certainly in the police force and the army. How do you feel. Do you feel safer being in the closet and being strickly private?

Tbh I dont tend to tend people. It's not their business. Like its not mine to know their straight. Its irrelevant in every day conversations
Andy69 · 51-55, M
@Gangstress I agree, I agree is indeed nobodies business, it's down to the individual to be open about it or not, but I also think that people should also value their privacy.

@Andy69 exactly. A lot of lesbians are stereotypical
.short hair checkered blouse try to act like men. I mean why We're not boys. We are not men. I like my women to be women otherwise surely I should be straight? It's becoming weird in the gay community. Standing for being the same. Although they want to wear labels. Its mind numbingly idiotic

@jveryoral I agree, don't be ''in your face'' with it or exploit it, I am indeed a very private person, though people have suspected I am gay.

Personally, I like being in the closet. Life is a hell of a lot easier when you're straight. Or at least perceived that way
Andy69 · 51-55, M
@KidAzazel I agree, safer, much safer. If you're happy to be in the closet then I'm happy for you, nobody should judge you either way. I am a very private person.

im Straight but I bet its Easier For Gays To Stay in The Closet Without Being Judged Or Picked On
Andy69 · 51-55, M
@JohnOinger How is it easier for a gay man to stay in the closet? Having to be careful what they say in case they get found out? It's a front they put on to be 'One of the boys' and some don't feel comfortable with that, talking about sport and football when they find it boring in private, how can they be themselves, having to look over their shoulder? Being afraid of certain crowds?

It's almost 20fucking20.
Time to be who you are,
And where you're at.👍🤗💞
Andy69 · 51-55, M
@Montanaman I agree, it's the 21st century but there is still very much a high level of homophobia that is kept private and people who hide behind user names and fake pictures post negative and hateful comments on youtube.
Montanaman · M
@Andy69 Ah, to hell with YouTube. Facebook, social Media. Haters will hate.👍🤗
Phobia.. an irrational fear..
Are you an opinionphobe?

Let your freak flag fly

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout No, not homophobic, just grew up in an area and a time where it wasn't in your face and enforced up with pride events when the community already have their rights, quite right to have their equal rights but people should still go about their business and not , in some cases, provoke deliberate attacks, all be it completely wrong as nobody at all should be attacked for anything.
