I Feel Sad

My life is pretty good - filled with ups, downs and challenges like everyone else. It's a rare thing for me to feel sad these days, but this morning I've woken up feeling sad. I had a fairly odd dream which no doubt has contributed to my emotional state.

I rarely reflect upon this, but this morning I'm wondering why I've had no one in my life who truly loves me. I had a difficult relationship with my parents whose love is conditional. I was married to someone i didn't love and who didn't love me. I've had a few relationships post divorce. 2 of which were exceptionally unhealthy and only perpetuated the understanding of the value I hold.

Stupid decisions with long reaching consequences.

I am a very happy single person, but this morning I am questioning if that is because every single relationship I've had with a male has been filled with disappointment and sadness.

Ughhhh such drivel seeping out of me today!

So much wonderful advice from others already...all I can say is that you're still young, so don't give up on those blokes yet. ;) If all else fails, just go on a long walkabout in the bush and you will forget all about that. 馃榿馃榿馃榿

It's good you feel happy single and natural to feel down sometimes. I hope you find someone who treats you with the kindness you deserve

I understand what you are going through. I was married to someone that had a lot of unresolved issues that ultimately destroyed my marriage.

All we can do is take it one day at a time. What matters is yourself - love yourself to the extreme fullest and yes - he is out there somewhere.

Blessings :)

Maybe they are reflecting something back at you..how do you perceive yourself? Lots of love xx馃

@SW-User I know I allowed too much crap that devalued me in those particular relationships. I gotta say though, around a year ago I valued myself enough to end a relationship.

I'm not quite sure where the hell those feelings (yesterday) came from! I am blissfully happy in my single status and feel more in control of my life.
