I Am a Wolf Traped In a Human Body

The Curse Of The Werewolf... I suppose I don't have too much to say. Just that I too feel like a wolf trapped in a human body. It took me a few years to get used to what I am, and I had help along the way. It was soon after accepting what I am that I realized the true "curse of the werewolf": humanity in general does not believe in such things as werewolves. Anything "outside the box" is uncomfortable and frightening. It's because of the false beliefs about supernatural creatures that they must live dual-lives as both their true selves and the human-self they have taken on or been born into. If it weren't for most people believing that we don't exist, and the belief that, even if we did exist, we are monstrous creatures, we would be able to live as we please. We would be able to freely express ourselves, only dealing with a small number of people who dislike us, as is the case for all groups of beings. Perhaps, one day, all supernatural creatures will be accepted. It seems like a pipe dream, but it's worth hoping for to me. Hope for the best, plan for the worst.

Thunder16 and Socalsunset be calm. Ignorance is not a crime and is seperate from stupidity. And besides, I would say Chakory has a fair understanding of werewolves after their last post. I have said it before, multiple times I am sure, throughout multiple posts: silver bullets, full moon, etc. is all good in movies in books. However, it is nothing more than fiction. There is some bizarre aura to the moon, but it does not govern us. You are right, Chakory, when you say we are not beasts. We were painted as such not long ago during the rise of Christianity, and grouped in with witches, other non-humans, and any pagan religion as evil. If you look at WWII for example, people did the same thing in comics. Americans had comics that depicted the Japanese as monstrous creatures. The Japanese had the same comics of Americans. It is so much simpler to justify the murder of anyone when they are dubbed a monster. You ask if I am myth or if I am reality. It would make no sense for me to say anything other than reality. However, I realize that humanity may never see it that way. I hope to change that someday, with a great deal of luck and a great deal of support. Not long ago, pagans were treated poorly. Now, they are able to be themselves in relative public. Perhaps we will have a chance at that. That will be a great day, when we live amongst humanity and other non-humans without hiding our true selves and without fear of being ridiculed or murdered for no good reason. I would die for that day to come for future generations.

I cannot tell you how many times I have been asked this question. From my perspective, I cannot understand why someone would want to become a werewolf. However, I imagine it is because their view of werewolves is incorrect. Werewolves cannot jump hundreds of feet, hear a whisper from half a mile away, etc. Most of what the media presents about werewolves is either made-up or exaggerated. More importantly, it is not as if you could run free and live with a pack as a werewolf. In the minds of the general public, we do not exist. If they knew otherwise, they would fear us and some would try to kill us. It is not a charmed life. Only once in my dreams did I feel what it was like to be free. Everything else I see in my sleep is a nightmare. I am proud to be who and what I am, but I would not wish the life of a wolf on anyone. You need to understand that being a werewolf would not change who you are, and who you are is what matters. Species, color of skin, gender, body type; none of it matters when it comes to one's capacity for doing great things. You don't have to be a werewolf to make a difference. I hope you understand that. It's not worth what comes with it, and there is no reason to want it. You have to be what you are, otherwise you will never understand who you are.

i do believe you all but do know that the mythe i spoke of was that with the silver bullets even a human can be killed with a shot werewolves and walker like myself dont change under a full moon its that myth that im trying to get rid of thats why i ask that question if your a myth or are you real
and werewolves and walkers arent beast like the human say we are we al have familly's right do you go out at night to kill and feast on the flesh of humans i dont think so but just like with the humans there ar bad once among us but is it becaus 1 apple is rotten that the whole harvest is bad too i dont think so you need to decide for yourself what kind of werewolf or walker you are dont let a myth stop you humans make mythe's becaus they are afraid of the unknown but do we need to be feard or do we need to be understood for what we are and not for what they see us as
this is why i whant no i think it is need to know what are you a myth or a real animal trapt in a 2 leggers boddy but not just for me but for you as wel as for the next generation of werewolves and walkers to come becaus they wil hear of this site and they wil come looking for answers so look at your self and the animal next to you ans ask yourself what am i real or mythe

Something important to keep in mind: strength, hairiness, etc. do not make a werewolf. And being easily angered only means you are conflicted within yourself. I was that way at once, and I didn't like myself for it. It was because I was insecure about myself. I didn't understand what was going on and my scientific mind didn't want to believe what I was until I saw proof. However, once I was more comfortable with myself, I wasn't so easily angered. In fact, I learned that the better person ignores those who try to anger others. A "bully" only gets energy from your reaction. Ignoring them takes away their desire to pick on you. Plus you'll soon realize that the majority of people aren't worth fighting with because they ignore fact and common sense to maintain "normality". Keep that in mind and you'll find you won't be as angry and life will feel better.

Exactly said that's what I do is I ignore them

It's the best thing to do.

I too agree. I feel so much like a wolf sometimes that I might want to just go into the forest and howl.
I have pretty much all characteristics of wolves - First of all, I get pretty aggressive when I'm mad(I need to break things, and yes, when I'm near someone who just made fun of me, told me something that I KNOW is true isn't true.ect. I just want to tear them apart.) Also, I'm pretty territorial, very curious, and I know wolves are in packs, but i need a lot of alone time in the forest. Now thats just the mental things. I am so much like a wolf physically, that its just scary. I am fast and agile, but also strong - very strong. (No training needed - and i'm a girl. Creepy right?) I just love it when night falls in the forest. And, i could almost swear i hear my dog talk. And u don't even want to know about the hairy arms, legs and fingers!

You are correct in saying that werewolves are not believed in for the most part. But who can blame them really. Most accounts come from the 16th and 17th century where all things that were "unusual" were explained away by superstition. I for one do believe that werewolves are real. However most humans in their day to day lives do not do as much research as I have. I am wishing to stumble upon the answer to my quest but in the mean time I feel it only right to say that there are a good deal of us that do believe in werewolves and believe they are not dangerous nor something that should be feared but rather embraced.

A werewolf is a shapeshifter. It is an appropriate name because it means manwolf. If you are not a wolf, then you are some other were- animal. Wereraven simply means manraven. And as far as the fear of dark, we teach our children to fear the dark. If a child is irrationally afraid of something, it is by cause of trauma or the result of being taught to fear by elders. Although, I suppose I like people's general fear of the dark. It allows me somehwere to go where I won't be bothered by most people. In reality though, it's much more frightening from the outside looking in than it is from the inside looking out.

I would go on about how it is not cool to be us. It is painful. However, seeing as I just spent time writing out my feelings and my computer lost it all, I will leave it at this: all we want is peace. We would be willing to set aside our pain, everythin that has been done to us, as long as humanity accepts us.

Not enough. If we were ever "revealed" to the world, I wonder how many would stand to help us. Although, I suppose I would only want to see it. I wouldn't let them do anything. It would be irresponsible to allow people to get involved when they would otherwise be safe from harm.

" If we were ever "revealed" to the world, I wonder how many would stand to help us."

It all depends on whether you are good or bad.

Sorry to interject here, but - as with many things - if one does not know how something of a large scale may turn out and does not wish to unnecessarily expose one to a possibly great danger, then one does the same thing on a small scale under well prepared and adjusted circumstances.
Theblackshewolf
I wouldnt call us were wolves, because there are more like us but they have different phenotypes (cat, dog, lizard, etc. I have a friend and her phenotype is a raven) So i am comfortable to call us more of shapeshifters. But i am getting used to calling a werewolf. I even call my friend a were-raven xD
Jrblkk
Can u turn me?
Chakory
humans made the werewolf myth
may i ask do you change at a full moon and turn into a monster or are you a wolf
there is a big difference to being a wolf and a myth
look at your self in a mirror are you real or a myth do you live in the fantasie of man or are you a cage wolf you decide
Thunder16
Before you make yourself look like an ass maybe you should do a little research into what constitutes a myth or possibly a reality you have not yet come to know. But since you can't do that, try this link. I think you will find it enlightening. http://www.experienceproject.com/stories/Believe-In-Werewolves/1834026
