I Am a Wolf Traped In a Human Body

The Curse Of The Werewolf... I suppose I don't have too much to say. Just that I too feel like a wolf trapped in a human body. It took me a few years to get used to what I am, and I had help along the way. It was soon after accepting what I am that I realized the true "curse of the werewolf": humanity in general does not believe in such things as werewolves. Anything "outside the box" is uncomfortable and frightening. It's because of the false beliefs about supernatural creatures that they must live dual-lives as both their true selves and the human-self they have taken on or been born into. If it weren't for most people believing that we don't exist, and the belief that, even if we did exist, we are monstrous creatures, we would be able to live as we please. We would be able to freely express ourselves, only dealing with a small number of people who dislike us, as is the case for all groups of beings. Perhaps, one day, all supernatural creatures will be accepted. It seems like a pipe dream, but it's worth hoping for to me. Hope for the best, plan for the worst.

Thunder16 and Socalsunset be calm. Ignorance is not a crime and is seperate from stupidity. And besides, I would say Chakory has a fair understanding of werewolves after their last post. I have said it before, multiple times I am sure, throughout multiple posts: silver bullets, full moon, etc. is all good in movies in books. However, it is nothing more than fiction. There is some bizarre aura to the moon, but it does not govern us. You are right, Chakory, when you say we are not beasts. We were painted as such not long ago during the rise of Christianity, and grouped in with witches, other non-humans, and any pagan religion as evil. If you look at WWII for example, people did the same thing in comics. Americans had comics that depicted the Japanese as monstrous creatures. The Japanese had the same comics of Americans. It is so much simpler to justify the murder of anyone when they are dubbed a monster. You ask if I am myth or if I am reality. It would make no sense for me to say anything other than reality. However, I realize that humanity may never see it that way. I hope to change that someday, with a great deal of luck and a great deal of support. Not long ago, pagans were treated poorly. Now, they are able to be themselves in relative public. Perhaps we will have a chance at that. That will be a great day, when we live amongst humanity and other non-humans without hiding our true selves and without fear of being ridiculed or murdered for no good reason. I would die for that day to come for future generations.
