how is being firm being rude?

i get that we are supposed to be nice to employers but when i'm disrespected i'm not gonna take anyones bullshit. i mean honestly, i'm not gonna sit there and be like "okay.." when someone talks down to me. its not what you say its how you say it... and by twisting the story youre being rude.

I finally had it with my boss and calmly told her she was acting like a dictator...her response was..."this isn't a democracy!" followed by an incredulous laugh
