To have a job in US government, or military, do you have to declare your political allegiance(s)?
ie. if you do not support the incumbent mantra that is in power at the executive level of US government is that considered reason to decline you for hiring in exclusivity?
I've never been asked about my political views when I worked in a government transport job from the late 1980's to mid-2000's, and I've never had a defence/military job or any job in private industry where a security clearance is required.
