Could I use a reference for a nanny job eleven years old?

I'd like to get back into child care but would an eleven year old reference be ok?
She is actually the Principal of the school I used to work at too, so maybe that could be beneficial.

I think you should have no problem using it. It is valid and relatable to the profession you want to get back into. So you should list it as a reference.

Strike the date and use it.

Maybe contact that person if you can and make sure her contact info is good and to ask if she still believes the same things she wrote down years ago.

@HikingMan Oh I've never asked her for one before..I feel weird asking eleven years later, but I really do want to go back to child care and that's my most recent

@Baybreeze If you want to use it then you should contact her and ask so that's she prepared if she gets a call.
Who knows, maybe contacting her will actually lead toa job all by itself?
