A year ago I would have been stressed or annoyed by it.
When you don’t kiss the bartenders ass or she doesn’t like you, she’ll make your drinks slow. On purpose. And she’ll pretend like it’s just a coincidence.
I’ve seen her do it repeatedly to a certain server, causing her tables to complain lol and of course it affects their tip.
And she’s done it to whoever has pissed her off that day.
In my case she does it when she feels she doesn’t have my attention anymore lol. She kept moving slowly and “forgetting” to do my drinks for the past 2 days.
I know she’s faster than this, and her memory is pretty solid. She’s so obvious.
I didn’t let it bother me at all. I just pretended like I didn’t even notice her purposely taking her time and prioritizing literally everyone else and everything else over my ticket.
Let my tables complain, I don’t care. I’m

I’m also pretty good at smoothing things over.
Anyway I could tell she was feeling overlooked and unappreciated. So in private I told her she “looked nice today”
She lightened up lol. Gave me a sarcastic “thanks” but still curiously asked me what was so different about the way she looked today compared to all the other days.
I just told her the difference was that I decided to stop gatekeeping my thoughts today and just finally said what I’ve been thinking.
She giggled and went “ohhhhhhhh” and then finally stopped ignoring me and even went out of her way to tell me I had another table while I was trying to close my checks hoping I was done for the day.
So The vibes are back, and now hopefully she’ll have the bar set up considerately for my bar shift tomorrow now that I’m back in her good graces lol.
People like her shouldn’t be allowed to have this much power. The way she’ll sabotage you over a mood is crazy lol.
