He thought that he could use paid sick leave like an extra holiday and get away with it.Checking his attendance record showed this clearly.Taking time off so he.can look after his sick dog was one reason he gave for paid sick leave.Gaming the system to try and escape write ups too.He tried it once too often.He was a long term employee and a senior manager which is why it became my responsibility to deal with him.I terminated his employment.
