I know that in my line of work, I'll face alot of loss but to know without a doubt one of them is literally dying breaks my heart.

They say don't get attached but that's impossible. To care for them, you have to care about them so how do you draw the line??
My new client is 83 and has bone cancer. There's no coming back from that.

Many many years ago my mother had breast cancer, developed bone cancer, finishing up in the lungs.
I used to pray for her in the local cathedral, silently. But so did one of her nurses. We never spoke, acknowledged each other, but it gave me strength to support my mother in her final months
