My "employer" forgot to pay me yesterday...

I hope they made up for it.

Reminds me of when I worked in a restaurant and they wouldn't let us take food home that was going to be thrown out. Because of how little they paid and scheduled me (as well as my then untreated mentall illness) there were a couple months I couldn't buy ANY food and was left cooking whatever I found in my kitchen.

They should reimburse that to you. I woul least explain and request it back as payroll is their responsibility

In my late teens I asked my boss why I didn't get holiday pay in my latest check and he said (with a goofy apologetic voice) "I didn't know it was a holiday" and I quickly replied "but I did". Embarrassing him in front of the customers did the trick... lol
