I've told this man 27 times - the tv remote needs new batteries. And his mind is blown. Like to the point where I almost think he's being difficult on purpose.
If he has dementia (?)that's what happens forgetting ,sometimes, almost as soon as you tell him. It's very hard to work with people with dementia they're not being difficult on purpose, but they do get upset and sometimes even to the point of anger, due to the constant confusion.
@Tumbleweed I worked in the kitchen of a nursing home once and the guy wasn't even really that old he was only in his early 60s and one day he'd be okay the next day he'd be trying to eat the garbage offer dish cart
@FrugalNoodle He swears he can't hear it & keeps trying to turn up the volume. If he would stop talking about what an interesting concept batteries are, he'd be able to hear it ffs.
@Tumbleweed Sorry this is going on for you. I would have to tell my dad the same thing a bunch of times too, but he gave up easy, looks like you got a fighter on your hands. Be firm and stick to the facts.
