Just gonna write it all out & get a different perspective...

The psychiatric hospital just offered me a job. Housekeeping. But it's a state job so that means much more money & better benefits.
My current job pays way less with fewer benefits but it's what I love to do, hands on with dementia patients.
So do I go with the higher pay & possible unhappiness or do I stay with what I love??
I'm on meds myself so I always have to consider my own mental wellbeing when accepting job offers.
I really really need the money & stability of the hospital position.
Gaaahhhh I hate major decisions....

That’s such a heavy decision, and it makes complete sense that you’re torn. Both options matter for really real reasons. Loving your work—especially work that meaningful—is huge, and so is needing financial stability and benefits, especially when you’re also protecting your own mental health. There’s no selfish or wrong choice here.

I hear how much pressure you’re under, and I’m really proud of you for being thoughtful about what you need long-term, not just emotionally but practically too. Whatever you decide doesn’t define you or lock you in forever—you’re allowed to choose what helps you survive right now.
