Just gonna write it all out & get a different perspective...

The psychiatric hospital just offered me a job. Housekeeping. But it's a state job so that means much more money & better benefits.
My current job pays way less with fewer benefits but it's what I love to do, hands on with dementia patients.
So do I go with the higher pay & possible unhappiness or do I stay with what I love??
I'm on meds myself so I always have to consider my own mental wellbeing when accepting job offers.
I really really need the money & stability of the hospital position.
Gaaahhhh I hate major decisions....

If it was me I would stick with what I love.
I've had a lifetime of trying to push myself into jobs I know I would hate, but that's me.
Can you make it on your current salary? will you have opportunity to get overtime?
I guess I would think about that as well.

@Justmeraeagain I'm not getting nearly the hours I need to maintain a healthy budget. I'm kinda tired of worrying about hours all the time 😔

@Tumbleweed
You could take the state job and see how it goes.
Perhaps you could volunteer with dementia patients from time to time?

@Tumbleweed also idk your life style but state jobs love a drug test or random drug test

This is a great suggestion@Justmeraeagain and hopefully will have less financial worrie
@Justmeraeagain I agree and she may be able to get a promotion later. The job she has now is more stable and there will always be a need for her services.

@WoWgirll The only drugs I'm on are prescribed by my doctor so I'm fine with that. I don't even smoke weed.
