Power went out at work

It's very windy here right now and apparently a tree fell on some power lines or something. Another co-worker said over by their house they heard a transformer blew up. So right now, all the lights are being operated by a generator that we have at work, but not all of the lights are on either. Can't get anything out of the vending machines, so might end up leaving at normal time instead of staying late like I normally do.

Trees down all OVER my area...one RIGHT in the middle of RT 106. A police car was blocking the road so I couldn't use 106 today. When I got back here, I learned Rt 44 was also blocked by a downed tree...and there was a big power outage here.

@4meAndyou that's insane!

@twiigss You should have seen the wild wind gusts and it was pouring rain. I was driving, and the gusts of wind would take a pocket of rain and just smash it against my windshield. Driving, I could barely see my lane on the highway because the backsplashes turned into white water cascades.

@4meAndyou when I still lived in MD I was probably 17 and I remember rain just came out of nowhere. It was so strong, I couldn't see anything and so I had my wipers on the fastest setting in my 1985 Oldsmobile station wagon, I had to pull over until it let up.
