I might be cooked.

Last Friday I got shouted at by my boss, then after I clocked out I disconnected from work since it was the weekend and I wanted to decompress from a stressful week.
Now it’s Monday and I checked my emails and saw my boss apologizing for how he acted. So I might be cooked. I legit ignored his message for 2 days. You might say my boss sounds reasonable since he apologized, but no. I already know him. He apologized because he wanted me to do something during the weekend, and now I didn’t do it, so I’m cooked.

That sounds really rough, I’m sorry you had to deal with that. Honestly, you did the right thing by protecting your weekend and giving yourself space to decompress after such a stressful week. It’s not unreasonable to disconnect once you’ve clocked out. If your boss is upset, that’s on him for expecting weekend work after treating you poorly. You’re not cooked—you showed boundaries, and that’s important. I hope this week goes more smoothly for you.

Unless they pay you for the time, they cannot legitimately expect work or a reply, in my opinion.

You are not a slave.

You are not supposed to work during the weekend. You have the right to not respond to emails and calls from work.
