Yeah, same. My boss used to do it all the time so now I just read 👍 as corporate for "approved, move on." Still feels a little cold, though.

I do it if someone keeps replying after the conversation has clearly ended and i have no more to say. It's better than not replying at all.

it is common practice where i work......... thumbs up here is meant to be condescending 90 percent of the time. there are exceptions, some people are genuine.
